Securing the Schengen Area

Hungary has seen an unprecedented flow of illegal migrants, counting more than 200.000 illegal border crossings this year.
 
Protecting the freedom of movement within the Schengen Area is the responsibility of Member States on the external Schengen borders. If the Greek government fails to do so, other countries must take up the responsibility. Legal entry and registration of migrants arriving to Hungary is continuously being processed.
