2026. 01. 27.

Pál Szekeres, Member of the European Parliament for Fidesz, will now also continue his work in the European Parliament as a member of the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO). In addition to his existing responsibilities, this new committee membership entails an expanded scope of duties and provides an opportunity for the delegation, working together with MEP Ernő Schaller-Baross, to contribute decisively to the development of the EU’s internal market and the strengthening of consumer rights, while firmly representing the interests of the Hungarian people.

Szekeres highlighted: “The issues of the internal market and consumer protection have a direct impact on the everyday lives of Hungarian and European citizens. My aim is to strengthen fair competition, job creation and legal certainty for citizens in the European Union through my work.” Pál Szekeres will also continue to serve as a member of the Committee on Petitions, the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs, as well as the Disability and Demography Intergroups, where he will represent the interests of Hungarian citizens, building on his previous experience.
