The European Parliament held a vote today on its resolution on the February ruling of the European Court of Justice concerning the rule of law. The Fidesz delegation to the European Parliament regards it as unacceptable that the left is only concerned with political blackmail during a time of war. Instead of using all means to support Poland and Hungary in their struggle to care for refugees from Ukraine, left-wing politicians continue to threaten these countries with the freezing of EU funds for political reasons.
The European Court of Justice passed a political judgement in February over Hungary’s child protection law. The ruling is living proof that Brussels is abusing its power. The ruling puts yet more pressure on our country due to the adoption of our child protection law last summer.
This resolution, supported by left-wing MEPs, is yet another stage of a political vendetta that has been going on for months. In fact, this is another attempt to stigmatise Hungary because of child protection. Brussels cannot accept that Hungary will not give in to pressure and instead has passed a law to stop LGBTQ propaganda targeting children and has even called for a referendum.
When it comes to the future of our children, we cannot give in to any kind of pressure! On 3 April, let us protect our children, let us protect Hungary!
