Commemoration on the International Holocaust Remembrance Day

2021. 01. 27.

The Fidesz-KDNP Delegation to the European Parliament commemorates the 6 million Jewish victims and countless other minority groups, including those of Roma origin. On this International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust, we shall remember the innocent lives destroyed so that similar atrocities will never happen again in the world.

The Auschwitz death camp was liberated on this day 76 years ago. We can never forgive those who systematically committed one of the greatest genocides in history under industrial conditions.

The Fidesz-KDNP Delegation to the EP is convinced of the need to promote zero tolerance to all forms of anti-Semitism. We strongly reject any political move that supports cooperation with representatives of anti-Semitic and anti-Roma views.

Through a number of measures, the Fidesz civic government has ensured that the second-largest Jewish community in Europe can live in peace and security in Hungary today.
