Conference: Bridging the Gap between EU Elites and European Citizens

What do Hungarians and citizens of other EU member states think about migration, Ukraine’s accession to the EU, and the EU’s agricultural and energy policies?

While the European Union is supposed to serve the people of different European countries, there is a growing gap between the will of the citizens and EU decisions. For the Patriots, the will of the citizens comes first. The European Union can only be successful if its policies are in line with the will of the people.

To assess the extent to which EU decisions align with or diverge from the will of citizens, the Századvég Foundation conducted public opinion polls on the most significant EU policy issues at the request of the Hungarian delegation of the Patriots for Europe Group. As part of the conference, experts from the Századvég Foundation will present the results of their polls, which they will contrast with the findings of Eurobarometer surveys and Századvég’s Europe-wide public opinion poll results.
